The Front-end Development Center is dedicated to web front-end development at LINE. Itimplements most of LINE's web front-end features, including the development of web-basedfeatures embedded in the LINE app, web applications of LINE family services, and JavaScript SDK.


You will be developing web applications in collaboration with planners, designers, and server-sideengineers, providing your perspectives and recommendations as a web development specialist toenhance the user experience of our services.You will also be improving the performance and UX of our global services by considering thesituation of relevant markets, including their mobile network connectivity.

Furthermore, you and other front-end developers will lead the development of JavaScript SDK,which is linked to the LINE app, to further improve the development environment along withdevelopers of native client applications.

・Management consoles for businesses such as the LINE Official Account Manager
・JavaScript SDK and frameworks used internally for building web applications

■Required Experience/Skills
・Professional knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
・Experience in developing web applications for PCs and smartphones
・Knowledge of accessibility, usability, and security
・Japanese language skills: Business Level


■ Preferred Experience/Skills
・Experience in developing systems for advertising business, focusing on usability
・Experience in developing native applications for iOS, Android, or other operating system
・Experience using server-side language such as Java and Perl
・Have contributed to an OSS or have been active in OSS communities
・Eager to explore new technologies and share knowledge

Working Hours

One of the followings will be applied: Discretionary labor system for professional work (Employee is deemed to have worked for 9.5 hours a day, regardless of the actual number of hours worked), Flex-time system (core time: 11:00 am–4:00 pm) or 10:00 am–6:30 pm(actual working hours 7 hr 30 min)

Weekends (Saturdays and Sundays), national holidays, paid leave, New Year’s holiday, congratulatory and condolence leave, "Refreshment" leave (every 5 years, employees who have been employed under a continuous contract are entitled to 10 days of paid leave)


Annual salary system (To be determined based on skills, experiences and abilities after discussions)

  • Annual compensation will be divided into 12 months and paid on a monthly basis.

  • Compensation revision: twice a year
