As a Technical Product Manager in LINE Pay, you will focus on the underlying architecture design (SA/SD) of core systems.
You act as the critical bridge between business objectives and backend engineering, taking full ownership of evaluating microservice architectures for high-concurrency systems, conducting Proof of Concept (PoC) validations, and delivering robust SA/SD documentation before any feature ships.

Within the product team, one must be able to quickly respond to product requirements, assess the technical feasibility of various service features, and propose precise implementation methods to be delivered to the development team.

For the company, you are the technical representative for external communications.
You are the expert who provides suitable solutions and responds quickly to any situation.

More importantly, you must have the ability to work independently.

 

Responsibilities

  • Core Architecture Planning: Drive the system analysis (SA) and system design (SD) for complex payment logic, database schema planning, and API specifications.
  • Technical Spec Delivery: Turn complex business requirements into clear, precise technical documents (SA/SD Docs, UML, Sequence Diagrams, Data Flows) to guide the development and QA teams without ambiguity.
  • PoC Validation & Tech Review: Conduct Proof of Concept (PoC) for critical technologies, evaluate trade-offs, and define Go/No-Go technical paths.
  • Product Manager: In charge of the system development life cycle with your product management skill. 
    Lead and facilitate the communication among product members from different countries, provide constant, consistent, and transparent communications with all stakeholders, HQ, and execution officer.
  • Provide professional technical support for all external partners, quickly gain insights from user feedback, and propose technical solutions.

 

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in web/mobile development, experience in financial product and voucher platform would be a plus.
  • Proficient with various project management tools such as Slack, Jira, and Confluence, and capable of applying them effectively in practical projects.
  • Knowledge in modern software delivering, including agile, scrum, kanban board, devOps, QA etc. development workflow.
  • Experience of chart method and tools for system analysis like draw.io, miro, Flow Chart, UML - Sequence Diagram, State Machine, Component Diagram, Use Case, Activity Diagram
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English to align with global stakeholders. 
  • Prefer the experience in Payment Gateway Company.
  • Programming background (Java/Python) is a strong plus.
  • Korean capable is a plus.

 

This position requires solid knowledge of internet technologies

  • Deep knowledge of internet technologies: RESTful API design, HTTP/S, microservice architectures, database schema management (SQL/NoSQL), and transaction concurrency control.
