LINE Consumer Business is looking for a strategic and creative person to lead and expand our Consumer Business, comprising LINE STICKERS, LINE MELODY, LINE Premium, LINE HEALTH, and Online Retail Business. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, enhancing the user experience, and scaling our businesses. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of wide digital product and content monetization, partnership, licensing, sponsorship, and user engagement, with a passion for creative expression.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a comprehensive business strategy for various product portfolios, e.g., Stickers, Music Content, Digital Product Subscription, and Online Aggregator Platform, to drive revenue and engagement
  • Oversee the Consumer Business, ensuring diverse, high-quality, engaging partners in every business
  • Identify and develop partnerships with external parties, e.g., artists, brands, and content creators, to expand and scale our businesses
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Product, Marketing, Design, and Engineering, to enhance the user experience and optimize monetization strategies
  • Lead the analysis of market trends, user behavior, and competitor strategies to identify new growth opportunities
  • Manage and ensure pricing strategies and promotions and review seasonal campaigns to maximize sales
  • Work with the PMO team to track performance metrics, optimize business offerings, and refine business strategies
  • Lead a team and oversee budgeting, forecasting, and operational execution for the business unit

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Media, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in digital content monetization, licensing, or business development, preferably in entertainment, gaming, or mobile platforms
  • Strong understanding of character IP, digital goods, and microtransactions
  • Proven ability to drive content sales, user engagement, and revenue growth
  • Experience managing relationships with artists, designers, and content creators
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and strategic thinking skills
  • Data-driven mindset with experience in using analytics to inform business decisions
  • Experience working with business partners and operational outsourcing
  • Professional proficiency in English, both written and verbal; Japanese proficiency is a plus.
