We are seeking a skilled and motivated Privacy Counsel to join our team. The successful candidate will play a role in overseeing and managing our organization's privacy-related activities and will be involved in working with cross-entities and functional teams to ensure compliance with applicable privacy regulations and manage privacy issues that arise.

 

Responsibilities

  • Legal Guidance: Provide legal advice and counsel to internal/external stakeholders on privacy-related matters.

  • Risk Assessment: Conduct privacy impact assessments and risk analyses for new and existing services and features, identifying potential privacy issues and recommending solutions.

  • Contract Review: Examine privacy-related documents (including contracts, primarily in English), and offer appropriate feedback to protect the company's best interests.

  • Incident Response: Support the organisation in responding to privacy incidents or breaches, including investigation, mitigation, and notification procedures.

  • Others: Handling privacy-related tasks assigned.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • A law degree with proficiency in English, verbal and written.

  • Any privacy certification (e.g. CIPP/E, ISO27701, etc.) is a plus.

Experiences

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with a focus on data privacy and protection. Experience with Taiwan privacy laws and regulations is essential.

Other Requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex privacy concepts in simple terms.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Must be able to adapt to working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be able to co-work with related cross-functional global teams.
