Reporting to the Director of Corporate Affairs and operating under the leadership of the Vice President of Global Communications & Risk Management, the Risk Management Senior Manager is responsible for identifying and reporting all scenarios of risks that can affect LINE’s products and services. You will be LINE’s “go to” person for all risks that may/can disrupt LINE’s products and services including but not limited to political affairs. In addition, educating stakeholders on enterprise risk issues and forming a consensus among key stakeholders while protecting the company from external risks is an equally important task given the company’s young history.

 

Working in a small team, you have to be able to work with minimum supervision and a very pro-active mindset. You will also be working cross-functionally with legal, corporate affairs, and product teams across different regions to proactively find innovative solutions.

 

Responsibilities

  • Identify, measure, analyze, control, and provide recommendations on operational risks and business risks
  • Establish and maintain a risk database for LINE’s products and services focusing on the Thai market and regularly provide reports to the management
  • Develop operational risk and business risk management tools/systems and process
  • Lead cross-functional departments to implement company-wide Business Continuity Management relating to LINE’s products and services
  • Coordinate the implementation of risk controls and response measures during crisis events
  • Lead company-wide risk awareness and training programs
  • Support incident response and reporting processes to relevant government agencies in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Monitor geopolitical development and flag any possible risks
  • Support projects with government agencies

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, finance, legal, or equivalent practical experience
  • Excellent English verbal and written communications skills
  • 8+ years of experience in corporate/operational risk and/or business risk management
  • Global knowledge of the tech industry in terms of policy and regulations
  • Strong conceptual thinking skill
  • Good organizational skills and ability to work effectively on the basis of general instructions and with moderate supervision
  • Flexibility for international travels

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the tech industry
  • Fluency in Japanese
