Team Introduction – SME Strategy Team
The SME Strategy Team is the core strategic unit under the SME Business Development division at LINE Pay. We are responsible for turning SME team strategies into actionable, structured, and executable plans.
Our mission is to ensure that projects are delivered effectively, policies are clearly communicated, data insights are actionable, and cross-functional collaboration is smooth. We support SME merchant growth, performance tracking, and product adoption with high execution standards.
We are looking for a highly motivated and execution-focused candidate to serve as an extension of the business leader. This role will bridge the gap between strategy and on-the-ground execution—ensuring projects don’t just stay in planning but truly make an impact.
Opportunity
LINE Pay is actively expanding in the SME segment. One of our key tools, the Marketing Platform, a self-service marketing tool designed for small and medium-sized merchants. This position will take ownership of driving product success and business impact.
This role will focus on SME business management and new product GTM strategy — including problem identification, project design, and cross-team execution.
We expect this role to deliver impact in the following two areas:
- Product: Identify pain points and feature gaps of the Marketing Platform, propose improvements, and design incentives to increase merchant usage and transactions.
- Business Execution: Discover bottlenecks in daily SME business operations, lead strategy improvement projects, and drive execution across teams.
Responsibilities
- Act as the owner of SME strategy projects, including new product launching plan, execute, and monitor project progress and outcomes.
- Identify pain points in SME business operations, propose strategic or structural solutions, and drive follow-up actions to implementation.
- Collaborate with the Operations team to analyze performance data and identify key issues and growth opportunities.
- Design merchant incentive programs, including bonus plans, campaign mechanics, and ROI evaluation.
- Work closely with BD, AM, Operations, Product, and Marketing teams to ensure smooth cross-functional project execution.
- Help design internal SOPs and policy rollout processes to improve execution efficiency and tracking.
- Regularly report project updates, insights, and recommendations to senior management.
- Support integration and use of tools such as Salesforce and internal dashboards to improve data visibility and decision-making.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in strategy planning, business analysis, operations, or project management.
- Strong analytical thinking; able to work with Ops teams to turn data into actionable insights.
- Familiar with Salesforce for managing merchant records, sales activities, and tracking processes.
- Experience designing incentive systems, KPIs, or running A/B tests is a strong plus.
- Experience in product marketing, user growth, B2B marketing, or O2O business development is preferred.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Highly self-driven and capable of independently pushing forward execution.
- Familiarity with LINE Pay, mobile payment, or SME merchant business models is a plus.
- Proficient in Chinese; intermediate or above in English reading and writing.
