We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Manager to join our team and lead the development of our LINE Messenger Product. In this role, you will work closely with international development teams to create a seamless and reliable communication service that meets the needs of our global user base. Your ability to collaborate across cultures and time zones will be crucial in driving the success of our product. 

 

Responsibilities & Requirements

• Basic Competency Requirements
  •  Product Strategy and Planning
    • Ability to create product plans that align with the company’s vision and market demands.

    • Proficient in writing Product Requirement Documents (PRD) and developing Product Roadmaps.

    • Capable of clearly defining the MVP Scope (Minimum Viable Product).

  • Market and User Understanding

    • Effectively conducts market research and competitive analysis.

    • Understands user needs and translates them into product opportunities.

    • Familiar with basic user research methods (surveys, interviews, bucket test / AB test, etc.).

  • Cross-Functional Communication and Collaboration

    • Collaborates with multiple departments (Design, Development, Marketing, Corporate Business) to drive project progress.

    • Clearly expresses requirements and efficiently allocates and coordinates resources.

    • Able to lead cross-departmental meetings, creating and delivering presentations and reports that ensure audience understanding.

  • Project Management Skills

    • Familiar with Agile development and related tools and methods.
    • Effectively manages timelines, resources, and risks.
    • Tracks project progress and adapts quickly with appropriate adjustments.
  • Data Analysis Skills and KPI Management

    • Sets and tracks product KPIs.

    • Proficient in using basic data analysis tools.

    • Makes data-driven decisions to drive product optimization.

    • Has a basic understanding of various potential business models.

    • Possesses basic knowledge of software development (e.g., API, database, front-end and back-end division).

    • Understands fundamental concepts of information security and data privacy, such as identity authentication, authorization mechanisms, and data protection.
    • Recognizes common security risks in product design and development and can preliminarily identify potential issues during the requirements phase.
    • Cooperates with information security departments to conduct risk assessments and make adjustments to product specifications.

Qualifications

• 5 years experience with Internet Technology industry. Proven experience in product management.
• AI fundamental knowledge. Proven experience in AI integration is a plus.
• Detail oriented, process oriented, excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task and manage expectations.
• Good understanding about LINE features and family services.
• Proficiency in product management software and tools, such as Confluence, Jira.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Japanese or Korean capable is a plus.
