Join the Biz Engineering team to build and improve real-world web products and internal platforms. You will work across frontend, backend, APIs, databases, testing, and deployment, collaborating with engineers, product managers, designers, and business stakeholders.
AI coding assistants are becoming part of everyday software engineering. We are looking for an intern who can use AI tools effectively while thinking independently: understand problems, break them into manageable tasks, evaluate generated solutions, debug failures, and take responsibility for code quality. You do not need to know every framework or AI tool before joining. Curiosity, solid fundamentals, and the ability to learn and deliver matter more than a long technology checklist.
Responsibility
- End-to-end feature development: Help design, implement, test, and maintain web features across frontend (e.g., React and TypeScript) and backend services (e.g., APIs, business logic, and databases).
- AI-assisted engineering: Use approved AI coding tools to explore approaches, prototype, write tests, review code, and debug more efficiently. Verify outputs rather than accepting AI-generated code blindly.
- Engineering quality: Write readable, maintainable code; participate in code reviews; add meaningful automated tests; consider security, performance, and reliability.
- Delivery and operations: Collaborate through Git-based workflows, CI/CD, and basic observability; help troubleshoot issues and improve existing services.
- Team collaboration and ownership: Clarify requirements, communicate progress and blockers, and deliver small but complete improvements with guidance from mentors.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
* Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on software development experience.
* Programming fundamentals, including data structures, debugging, and basic problem solving.
* Practical experience building at least one working application or project (coursework, personal project, hackathon, or open source are all welcome).
* Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript or another programming language, plus willingness to learn both frontend and backend development.
* Basic understanding of HTTP, APIs, web applications, databases, and Git.
* Experience using an AI coding assistant (such as Codex) to support development, with the ability to explain, test, and improve its output.
* Proactive learning attitude, clear communication, and accountability for results.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with React, Node.js, Java, Go, Python, or comparable frameworks and languages.
* Experience designing or integrating REST APIs and working with SQL databases.
* Familiarity with automated testing, Docker, CI/CD, cloud services, or application monitoring.
* Experience with AI-assisted workflows such as repository-aware coding agents, prompt/context engineering, or AI API integrations.
* Personal or team projects demonstrating end-to-end delivery, including deployment, testing, or user feedback.
* Awareness of secure development practices, including protecting secrets and sensitive information when using AI tools.
Working Period: 2027/03-2028/02, at least 3 days a week, student identify required.
