LINE FRIENDS Taiwan Corporation is responsible for Licensing, B2B business and local brand marketing in Taiwan using Line Friends IP.
As the Senior Creative Designer for Licensing Product Approval at LINE Friends Taiwan, you will serve as the key creative gatekeeper ensuring all licensed products across categories maintain the integrity, personality, and appeal of LINE FRIENDS and its expanding family of IPs (including BT21, minini, JOGUMAN, DINOTAENG etc.). This role bridges design quality and brand consistency across local and regional markets, elevating both creative output and commercial value through strong creative judgment and strategic design thinking.
 
 
Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the end-to-end product approval process for licensed consumer products including fashion, accessories, food, cosmetics, toys, stationery, home goods and promotions.
  • Review and approve product designs, packaging, and marketing assets submitted by licensees and B2B partners, ensuring alignment with global LINE FRIENDS IP guidelines, character identity, and storytelling values.
  • Provide creative direction and feedback to licensees and B2B partners to elevate design quality and maintain brand relevance in the Taiwan market.
  • Collaborate with the KR HQ and other regional offices to localize style guides and creative assets tailored to Taiwan’s consumer and retail trends.
  • Support trend research, product concept ideation, and seasonal creative briefing for licensee inspiration and new category development.
  • Mentor and support junior designers and freelancers involved in the creative approval process.
  • Maintain accurate design records and approval documentation using internal systems and tools.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Design, Visual Communication, Graphic Design, or a related creative field.
  • 5+ years of experience in character licensing, consumer product design, or brand creative, preferably in entertainment, lifestyle, or character IP industries.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating ability to adapt brand/IP to multiple product formats.
  • Deep understanding of Taiwan’s consumer product and retail landscape, including trend, style, and target demographic preferences.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop); familiarity with 3D/mockup software is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented, with excellent taste and the ability to provide clear, strategic creative feedback.
  • Experience in managing communication with external partners and internal stakeholders across creative and business teams.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and proficient in English (mainly on written)
