Retail Business Manager (Los Angeles)

Job Summary:

The Retail Business Manager will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new retail business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the retail industry, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of successful retail business management.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive retail business development strategy to achieve company growth objectives
  • Identify and evaluate new retail business opportunities, including market trends, competitive landscape, and potential partnerships
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners, stakeholders, and industry influencers
  • Lead negotiations and contract discussions with potential retail partners
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and product development, to ensure alignment and execution of business development initiatives
  • Monitor and analyze retail market trends and performance metrics to inform strategic decisions
  • Prepare and present business development reports and proposals to senior management
  • Other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Team Lead and/or CEO
  • Must be able to read/write/communicate comfortably in both English and Korean 

 

Education/Experience/Minimum Requirements:

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field

Experience

Minimum of 5+ years of experience in retail business management or related field

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong leadership and team management skills. Ability to think strategically and analytically. Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills. Proven track record of successfully developing and executing retail business strategies. Strong understanding of the retail industry, market dynamics and consumer behavior. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.  Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks. Travel as needed.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

While performing duties, employees are occasionally required to bend, squat, stand, walk and reach with hands and arms.  The employee must occasionally lift and /or move up to thirty (30) pounds.   The employee works under typical office conditions, for a high-energy, fast paced organization.  Work in an environment where the noise level is usually quiet.
