Team: Smart Channel

As the Head of LINE Service (Smart Channel), you will be at the forefront of shaping and executing the strategic vision for Smart Channel to delivering the right content to the right user on LINE’s Chat tab, including the advertising space. This is a key leadership role to drive the service’s growth through new initiatives, optimizing service performances, and ensuring Smart Channel remains useful and impactful to LINE users. You will collaborate with both local and global teams, working closely with stakeholders across commercial, product, content, and marketing to ensure the service delivers exceptional value to both users, advertisers, and partners.

You will play a central role in optimizing Smart Channel’s performance, increasing user engagement, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with new technologies and initiatives.

 

Responsibilities

Strategic Development

  • Develop the strategic vision and value proposition for Smart Channel
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive strategies to maintain a competitive edge in the market

Implementation

  • Initiate Smart Channel improvement actions and keep track of the result
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams or external parties, both locally and globally, to drive the Smart Channel’s improvement initiatives

Business Performance Management

  • Develop annual business plan [or any other given period]
  • Manage both business and financial performance (PL) of Smart Channel

Service Performance Management

  • Monitor and analyze user engagement metrics to identify areas for improvement
  • Strengthen awareness and engagement of service via internal/external marketing campaigns, while monitoring their performance

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, computer science, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in digital platform management, and/or tech industry
  • Experience developing and managing digital services, working closely with product teams and technical people
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies
  • Strong understanding of AI and personalization technologies
  • Strong passion and curiosity for tech and/or content industry
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional fluency in both Thai and English

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a related field and MBA is a plus
  • Familiarity with the LINE platform or similar digital products
  • Professional proficiency in Japanese or Korean is a plus
