Responsibilities

• Develop new service components for both the Taiwan and global markets
• Design and build core backend software components for Messaging, Social Graph, and Partnership platforms
• Create APIs and services that enable third-party integrations with the LINE platform
• Collaborate closely with our development teams in Tokyo and Seoul to deliver high-quality solutions

 

Basic Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for tackling complex challenges
• Extensive experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Proficiency in both RDBMS and NoSQL databases
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related fields
• Experience building distributed services and managing large-scale data systems (preferred)
• Fluent in English (Japanese or Korean proficiency is a plus)
• 3+ years of experience developing PC and smartphone web applications

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and the DOM
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, CI/CD practices, and DevOps tools
• Experience with Scrum and agile development methodologies
• Expertise in designing, developing, and abstracting user interface components
• Experience building Single Page Applications (SPA)
• A strong understanding of accessibility and usability principles
