Job Summary:

The Retail Business Manager will be responsible for leading store operations, driving sales, maximizing profitability, and ensuring a best customer experience. This role involves overseeing store management teams, optimizing inventory, implementing visual merchandising strategies, and fostering a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, leadership skills, and the ability to execute strategies that enhance both sales and operational efficiency.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Sales & Profit Optimization

  • Develop and execute strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Analyze sales trends and forecast future sales volumes to maximize profitability.
  • Plan and implement marketing campaigns, events and promotions to drive revenue growth.

 

Customer Experience & Service

  • Ensure exceptional customer service standards are consistently maintained.
  • Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly, implementing effective solutions.
  • Train and mentor store teams to enhance customer engagement and service quality.

 

Inventory & Merchandising Management

  • Oversee inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock availability to meet customer demand.
  • Conduct regular stock audits, monitor movement, and implement loss prevention strategies.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and cost-effective inventory management.
  • Ensure store layouts and displays align with brand guidelines and maximize sales potential.

 

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and develop retail associates and store managers, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills for operational success.
  • Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing coaching and feedback.
  • Foster a positive work culture, addressing team concerns and ensuring high morale.

 

Financial & Operational Management

  • Oversee store budgets, tracking expenses and revenue to ensure financial efficiency.
  • Monitor financial performance against KPIs and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Analyze financial reports and leverage data-driven insights to optimize business decisions.

 

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure store operations comply with all relevant laws, company policies, and industry regulations.
  • Maintain a safe and organized store environment for both customers and employees.

 

Reporting & Communication

  • Provide regular reports on sales performance, customer trends, and operational insights to senior management.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including the U.S. retail division and HQ, to align strategies and initiatives.
 

Qualifications & Experience:

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field preferred.

 

Experience:

  • 5+ years of retail management experience, preferably overseeing multiple locations.
  • Strong experience in talent acquisition, training, and performance management.
  • Proven ability to drive sales, manage inventory, and optimize store operations.
  • Experience with floor-ready initiatives and retail compliance is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) preferred.

 

Skills & Abilities:

  • Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English is a strong plus.
  • Passion for IP products, character brands, or K-pop-related merchandise is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales and market trends.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a focus on delivering outstanding service.

 

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

While performing duties, employees are occasionally required to bend, squat, stand, walk and reach with hands and arms.  The employee must occasionally lift and /or move up to thirty (30) pounds.   The employee works under typical office conditions, for a high-energy, fast paced organization.  Work in an environment where the noise level is usually quiet.

Salary

$85,000 - $100,000 Annually
